PENINGKATAN MINAT BELAJAR SISWA KELAS X SMK NEGERI 8 KOTA PONTIANAK MELALUI METODE BERMAIN PERAN

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the increase in learning interest of class X students of State Vocational School 8, Pontianak City through the role play method. Interest in learning is a crucial factor influencing student academic success. Innovative and participatory learning methods, such as role-playing, are expected to stimulate and enhance student interest in learning. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The study population was all grade 10 students at SMK N 8, Pontianak City. The sample was taken using purposive sampling involving students from several classes that had implemented the Role-Playing Learning Method. Data were collected through a questionnaire that measured the level of role-playing implementation and students' level of learning interest. Data analysis was conducted using correlation techniques to determine the strength and direction of the relationship between variables. The results of the study are expected to provide a clear picture of the extent to which the Role-Playing Learning Method contributes to increasing student interest in learning. These findings are expected to provide input for teachers and school administrators in developing more effective and engaging learning strategies to improve the quality of education at SMK N 8 Pontianak City.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan minat belajar siswa kelas x smk negeri 8 kota pontianak melalui metode bermain peran. Minat belajar merupakan faktor krusial yang memengaruhi keberhasilan akademis siswa. Metode pembelajaran yang inovatif dan partisipatif, seperti bermain peran, diharapkan mampu membangkitkan dan meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X di SMK N 8 Kota Pontianak. Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling dengan melibatkan siswa dari beberapa kelas yang telah menerapkan metode pembelajaran bermain peran. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang mengukur tingkat penerapan metode bermain peran dan tingkat minat belajar siswa. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik korelasi untuk mengetahui kekuatan dan arah hubungan antar variabel. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran yang jelas mengenai sejauh mana metode pembelajaran bermain peran berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan minat belajar siswa. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan bagi guru dan pihak sekolah dalam mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan menarik guna meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di SMK N 8 Kota Pontianak.
